Coach Zoe Bag

Coach Zoe Bag
I have always loved the Louis Vuitton Galliera, and it looks as if Coach has made their own version of the Galliera. I bring to you the Coach Zoe, and it reminds me of a more affordable version of the Galliera. The Zoe isn’t as pretty as the Galliera but it sure does come in plenty of colors. With the amount of colors this handbag comes in, you are bound to find at least one color of the handbag that you find appealing. To be exact, over at Nordstrom.com, the handbag currently is available for purchase in seven different colors. My favorite color is the orchid but each color is fabulous in its own way. Some features of the handbag is that is has a zip top closure, interior pockets for your different necessities, very spacious, and most importantly it’s stylish. If my heart wasn’t set on the Louis Vuitton Azur Galliera PM, I would probably opt for the Coach Zoe in one of it’s many colors.

The Coach Zoe is currently available for purchase at Nordstrom.com and is priced at $348, which I don’t think is that bad or high of a price. Coach has been pretty outrageous with their prices lately and I must say this isn’t that high of a price for them right now. Cute bag and definitely worth the price, if I could only get passed the whole Galliera comparison I would probably love it even more.

Versace Quilted Couture East - West Bag

Versace Quilted Couture East - West Bag
Here is a bag that looks quite unique but I’m on the fence about it. The unique handbag I’m talking about is the Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag and it does have a cute factor to it. The handbag is very small, so small that it definitely isn’t a bag you would use for everyday use. Now for a eye popping handbag that is small, for a night out on the town, it’s perfect. Only downfall about this handbag is that it currently is only available in white over at eLUXURY, if a black version was available the Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag would be a beauty! The handbag is very tiny so you can’t fit much other than your essentials in it, but the golden hardware featured on the handbag is fabulous. My absolute favorite part about the bag are the braided golden metallic leather handles with gold metal tips, and to me that makes the bag that much more stunning. It’s not too often you see gold handles on a bag that look like metal, but perhaps that is just the picture giving us that illusion. Gorgeous little bag, but if only it was worth the price.

The Versace Quilted Couture East/West Bag is currently available at eLUXURY for $2,375. I’m sorry fellow bagista’s but for a bag that small, is it really worth that much? It’s an adorable bag but, for a bag that really isn’t for everyday use, the price tag seems a bit much to me. Stunning bag, hideous price.

Casual Comfort

Casual Comfort
I love the Gap for inexpensive yet cute and trendy styles. You can mix and match just about anything the store sells with what you already have. One of my staples this time of year is the long-sleeved tee and this versatile thermal top is perfect for wearing alone or for layering.

If you wear it by itself, pair it with jeans, khakis, cords or a denim skirt. If you choose to layer it, wear it under a flannel top, vest, V-neck or crewneck pullover or cardigan. Because it comes in so many colors (and is priced just right), you can have your pick any cool day this season.

The Perfect Jeans?

The Perfect Jeans?
I love jeans for their comfort, but the perfect pair of jeans is like a good man....hard to find. If you're a 5'11 supermodel who weighs 101 pounds, then sure, anything will look great on you, but for us mere mortals, the quest for the perfect jean can become a lifelong search.

A few of my requirements for a great jean are:

* High waist - I don't have to look like Urkel, but when I bend over, I don't need passerby to tell me what color my undies are
* Slight flare - Love a little boot cut action without looking like I'm about to dive from an airplane
* Dark - Acid washed is so 1980's, so why am I still seeing it??

Take a look at these Muse jeans by Joe's Jeans at Goldyn. I think I'm in love. These jeans would go with so many things, from a simple white tee to a cozy pullover. Plus, as a busy mom, I could wear these while running around and not look like I'm wearing "Mom Jeans," which are nearly as big a fashion sin as acid-wash!

So what do you think? I'm thinking a big thumbs up.

Such a Stud

Such a Stud
I''m spending my Saturday morning catching up on some of my favorite blogs, and when I found these Bebaroque studded tights on Kingdom of Style, I was blown away. I''m always drawn to studs, and studded tights are no exception. If only the exchange rate was better, I would be wearing these ridiculously often. Especially if my legs were as long and gorgeous as Queen Michelle''s. . .

Finishing Touches

Finishing Touches
Sooooooo. . . New York Fashion Week. . .

So far, no particular collection has completely caught my eye (I''m waiting for Anna Sui, my usual favorite), but the makeup at Diesel Black Gold and the headdresses at Diane Von Furstenberg were beyond stunning.

At Diesel Black Gold, makeup artist Val Garland explained the look. "It''s very young. It''s all about the eyebrow. There''s a nod to Alice Cooper. It''s all about magenta and peacock blue eyebrows."

I''ve always loved that scary circus clown pointed-line-through-the-eye thing, but the colored eyebrows take it above and beyond. I''ve never seen that before, and I think it looks fabulous. Very cool, very playful, very party-all-night. Love.

On a very different end of the spectrum, Diane von Furstenberg''s models sported the most gorgeous fairytale headdresses.

I love that these are floral without being at all "flower girl." The addition of the leaves, the feathers, and the strands of ribbons look like they should belong in A Midsummer Night''s Dream, or perhaps in Neverland. Very unexpected, I think, from the woman who brought us bright wrap dresses in a myriad of graphic prints. I wonder if this new softness is just another short exploration into a part of Diane''s large range, or perhaps a facet of her personality she has finally seen fit to share with us. Either way, I''m blown away.

Fashion Extravaganza At Biff&Bil 2008

Fashion Extravaganza At Biff&Bil 2008
Thailand's biggest fashion and leather fair kicked off with fashion extravaganza on Aug 27 at BIFF&BIL 2008 BITEC, Bangna.

In its second decade, the much-awaited fashion trade fair featured 2008 Autumn-Winter collections from the country's well-known designers and fashion houses led by Somchai Kaewthong from Kai and other designers from the Bangkok Fashion Society (BFS) such as Greyhound, Senada*, Disaya, Sretsis, Kloset and Munchu's.

Veteran designer Somchai "Kai" Kaewtong is a pioneer in Thailand 's fashion industry with more than 40 years of experiences which makes his a household name. He delighted his fans with his line of ready-to-wear in earth tone colours with floral designs for practical day time, followed by stylish evening dresses in soft, flowing satin in lively-coloured floral prints. "Kai" capped of its collection set with a signature design marked by intricate pleats and needlework.

It was "A Journey to Kenya " from Senada* by designer Chanita Preechawitayakul. Inspired by her trip to Kenya , Chanida's collection featured wildlife prints in smart designs including tailored suits for women in action. Her choice of colours derive from nature, such as the grey elephant skin, the silver moonlight, the beige deer skin, while the colours of the Safari woods and savannas are those of Kenya's dark night winter.........

Fall 2008 M Missoni Dress

Fall 2008 M Missoni Dress
Here's a new dress from M Missoni for the fall, which I like very much. I love the color block detail and the easy, breezy shape - perfect for those Monday mornings when you've overindulged a bit over the weekend.

I really love how it's shown, with the dark hose and those fabulous shoes, although I'd probably wear black shoes for an overall lengthening effect (important for the petites). For the very tall, it could also work as a tunic with some sleek black trousers. Add some hoop earrings and a big bag and your outfit's complete.

Here's a cool back view:

It's available for pre-order from Nordstrom in limited quantities.

Vogue Gets in on the Reality TV Action

When I was younger, like many girls my age I wanted to be a model. Information on how to actually become one was scarce especially when at the time every supermodel swore blind that they had been scouted. I had to cut out and keep every advice piece I could find in the mags and record any of the one-off documentaries that happened to come on tv. How pissed am I that I''m not a teen now!
