A girl must wear designer!

A girl must wear designer!
In spite of the substantial price tags attached, designer wear is always popular among the female populous. Men are none to indulge themselves on the odd shopping spree here and there, but designer shoes are much more a girl thing. But why is this? What makes women want.no.NEED a pair of totally unpractical skyscraper Louboutin heels, a pair of body hugging J Brand Jeans or that delicate must-have (one in every colour) quilted channel bag?

For a number of a lot of women, designer labels generate instant desire. We live in a society where a high price tag is seen as synonymous with style and quality. It is a common conception that if it is expensive, then it must be good. Perhaps a greater factor is that in this era of frequent exposure to celebrity style through magazines and the internet, women are bombarded with images of actresses, models and socialites wearing the latest pair of Jimmy Choos, Fendiclutch or uber skinny Diesel Jeans. These images lead to an inspirational desire to own what the celebrities own. No longer is it enough to imitate the style of the stars, but women want to own the exact same items.

Of course, this is in a way quite understandable. We may live in a throwaway consumer drive era, where the pressure to have the latest shoes, car and clothes is monumental. Nevertheless, there is still pleasure to be had in owning a pair of designer shoes. The workmanship that goes into a lot of the high end fashion brands is of far greater quality than with a high street stores that price their garments at a fraction of the price. It may seem ridiculous to spend hundreds of pounds on a single pair of shoes, but for the new owner of a beautiful pair of Gina heels hoping to add that little something extra to an outfit, would beg to differ. Granted the must-have items of the moment come and go, for example this year has seen women all over go crazy for the shoe-boot styles with cut-out heels, backs or toes or the new twist peep-toe design. What's more, it will be a long while before we forget the Jimmy Choo fringed sandals that captured a number of a fashionistas, or the gladiator sandals we have seen everywhere, on every woman in any weather condition, for better or for worst. Thanks to the imagination of designers around the world, 21st Century designer wear is far from dull.
